Walkthrough

1. Visiting the hint giver in Somerset Square after reaching level 3 you get:

Gadgeteer:

The retired superhero greets you as you enter. "I was wondering if you had a little time to help me with something? They say old heroes never die, they just tinker away in obscurity. I know it's certainly true of me. I'm working on a project that uses a rare material called marium. If you've got time I'd pay you to collect some for me." When you nod, the old hero hands over a marium detector and detailed instructions. "Take this with you and check the sewers under Somerset. That's the only place I've ever found any. There are these gold coins called aurum lamina that some old mad scientist apparently stashed down there decades ago. I'm going to need at least 6 of them to have enough marium for my project."

Naturalist:

You're looking for a certain rare mushroom, called seta magnus. Apparently it thrives down there in the sewers. I'm going to need at least 6 of them to have enough marium for my project."

There are some old star-shaped pins, called astrum emblems, that were distributed in a parade decades ago. Some of them got dropped and washed into the sewers after the parade. Any of the others were collected long ago. I'm going to need at least 6 of them to have enough marium for my project."

You're looking for a certain rare flower, called incendia fiore. It can grow even in the dimmest light. I'm going to need at least 6 of them to have enough marium for my project."

Your Journal will say:

Your retired hero friend from Somerset has asked you to scour the sewers of Somerset in search of special items containing marium, some compound you've never heard of. You've got a marium detector that you should be wearing to help you find the items. Your friend needs at least 6 of the item.

Approaching the hint giver again you will get:

Gadgeteer:

"Any luck tracking down the aurum lamina coins in the sewers? No? Remember to make sure you're wearing your marium detector. "[sic]

Naturalist:

"Any luck tracking down the seta magnus mushrooms in the sewers? No? Remember to make sure you're wearing your marium detector. "[sic]
