iolite ion stone
Plural: iolite ion stones
If you hold an ion stone, concentrate on it, and let it go, it slowly floats around you, like an electron in orbit. Hence the name ion, which is ancient Greek for "you're making me dizzy, spinning around like that."
This rock is made from rough, uncut iolite, which probably means it should be called cordierite. Not to be confused with cordite.
