- Villains appear once you make the proper choice in Anonymity: Blessing or A Curse? (disabled). They can be disabled through making the opposite choice in Anonymity: Blessing or A Curse? (enabled). Villains remain enabled or disabled until you visit one of these adventures again and toggle the state. The option to toggle the state is available once per day.
- This is reset with Retcon, requiring villains to be reactivated once going through the door.
- Villains can appear in any fight location except A.R.F. and Hyde Park streets.
- There are two types of Villains, Wandering Villains and Static Villains.
- Static Villains are restricted to one location.
- Wandering Villains can appear in any location.
- On average, a Villain appears once every 2:30 hours. The minimum is 2 hours, but there is no maximum.
- The counter is not reset at rollover.
- The 2 hour minimum time can be decreased by use of throwing star - black hole in combat.
- Villain appearance is unaffected by Combat chance modifiers.
- Villain appearance is affected by Villain Encounter modifiers.
- Each Villain has a unique item.
- XP gained from each Villains is 8 * Level, capped at 400.
