From the name of the badge, I'm guessing you'd have to perm all four Nostronomian textbook skills? Sanjuro (talk) 22:46, 4 November 2013 (PST)

Having 1000+ minutes of With Chance of Ions and equipping all bionic gear didn't help. One of my alts is perming them, will let you know if that's it if no one reports on it sooner. Patojonas 05:07, 5 November 2013 (PST)
Definitely not gotten from perming all Ion skills, otherwise I would have gotten it a month ago. Zillow

How about having the ionic sidekick and the ionic aura active, and using both ionic combat skills in one fight? Sanjuro (talk) 11:36, 5 November 2013 (PST)

It triggered for me after I raised all four of the skills to 10 skill points. Having all four permed may also be a factor. --Valmo (talk) 15:38, 7 November 2013 (PST)
Yodah (#37519) has it and only has 3 completed retcons, unlikely to be related to having them all like Zillow mentioned above. Do you have one of each overthrusted stones? Did you have anything else ion related equipped or made recently? Patojonas 16:28, 7 November 2013 (PST)
I only have two of the overthrusted ion stones. I had the aura, sidekick, and chance of ions active which did not trigger it. I also tried using both of the combat skills multiple times with those active to no avail. After the last time I checked for the badge and did not receive it I used enough bonus skill points to cap the four skills and after capping them it awarded the badge. --Valmo (talk) 16:57, 7 November 2013 (PST)
If Yodah permed three ionic skills on his first 3 retcons, and then obtained the fourth skill during the current run, that would be consistent with what Valmo wrote. Sanjuro (talk) 20:16, 7 November 2013 (PST)
Thing is, a couple days ago when I checked, that account only had 2 completed runs and already had the badge. Not saying Valmo is wrong, the trigger does make sense, but there might be something else to it.
Khal Thralkhar posted in the forums "Ionic is very simple too, just put some dedication into your study. Just to be nice I will also remind you of 2 things: Cris got it 1 level after I told her how to unlock it, Yodah only has 2 retcons and has it." Patojonas 03:41, 8 November 2013 (PST)
Does anyone happen to have just one of the skills maxed out and not have the badge? Maybe doing all four was overkill. --Valmo (talk) 04:42, 8 November 2013 (PST)
My main has the ion sprite maxed, visited the gym just in case with the sprite as a sidekick, nothing happened.Patojonas 08:10, 8 November 2013 (PST)

I got it with only one at 10 points. Cristiona (talk) 21:32, 8 November 2013 (PST)

Is anybody in a position to try putting 10 points into Ionic Bondage? It's description mentions science. --Valmo (talk) 04:58, 9 November 2013 (PST)
Just did it with Blackmatter615, maxed ionic bondage gave me the badge. This badge sucks if it favours 1 specific class, hope it's a bug. Patojonas 05:04, 9 November 2013 (PST)
Confirmed with Reigna, maxing strike of the ion eel didn't get me the badge. This is a classist badge :( Patojonas 05:09, 9 November 2013 (PST)
Asked Trog to check if maxing the skill was enough, but he didn't get the badge. It likely requires one to have permed the skill and max it.
Unless there's something else we're missing, at least this way it doesn't favor a specific class since it requires a retcon.Patojonas 16:06, 9 November 2013 (PST)

Are we sure it requires the skilled being permed? Cristiona (talk) 20:30, 12 November 2013 (PST)

Trog who is a Gadgeteer never retconned and maxed the skill but got no badge. Beside, making an ionic bond permanent and strong goes well with the "wedding" part of the image name. Patojonas 03:04, 13 November 2013 (PST)
Delmar just got this badge today. I have 2 of the four Ion class skills permed, neither of which is ionic bondage. I got it after adding 10 skill points to Aura: Ions. Therefore, I assert that this badge is awarded merely for having one of the skills permed with 10 skill points assigned. Can someone confirm? --‡ Trog ‡ (talk) 17:12, 29 April 2015 (PDT)
