You are fighting a ghost of X.
You toss the ectoplasmic bedsheet at your opponent, who becomes thoroughly entangled. Waitaminute! Glowing body, draped in cloth ... oh no, it's a ghost!
A little bit of the ectoplasm drips into a puddle on the ground, and you scoop it up before it gets lost. It's far too unstable to use again this fight, but you'll want it later.
You got an item: ectoplasmic bowling ball

- X is the name of the enemy hit with the ectoplasmic bedsheet.
- The XP and chips are the same as the original encounter.
- Up to five ectobits can drop regardless of the items of the original encounter.
- The items dropped by the original foe will no longer drop.
- Item drop modifiers influence drop chances.
- Changes the weaknesses/resistances of the original encounter.
- The ghost of an animal can still be tamed, but as usual, the animal will not drop any items.
- The ghost of a robot still takes no damage from Mind Poke, Mind Jab, Psionic Blast and Wind Warrior if the player does not have the Electronic Understanding skill.
- Defeating the ghost of a foe at the NCI Live building will clear the space, the same as defeating the original foe.
