1. Go to the Guild for Imaginative Metachronism and defeat a pitch-black knight with a Bedraggled Squire active OR a horse / Red Hex / pegasus / armored pegasus / Night Mare / frog's court horse / sleepy draft horse / nameless horse / pale horse equipped while having 4150 XP or more at the end of the fight to initiate this quest:
He kicks at you feebly as you clean up after the fight. "Oh, had enough, eh? Think you're a big jouster, riding around on your horse like you own the place? We'll see what you think about Lance. Death awaits you at the end of a nasty, big, pointy stick!"
He keeps complaining but your squire's dutiful clip-clopping soon drowns him out.

He kicks at you feebly as you clean up after the fight. "Oh, had enough, eh? Think you're a big jouster, riding around on your horse like you own the place? We'll see what you think about the Undersecretary. Death awaits you at the end of a nasty, big, pointy stick!"
He keeps complaining but your squire's dutiful clip-clopping soon drowns him out.
This adds the following journal message for all classes:
You've been challenged to a joust at the Guild for Imaginative Metachronism. Nobody really gave you any instructions, so you probably just need to show up with your noble steed.
2. Based on your class a new opponent will be added to the Guild for Imaginative Metachronism and it will become your task to unhorse them. Combat lasts a limited number of rounds and fighting to a draw will result in needing to take another pass. You'll have to face 2 adventures until it shows up again. Choosing to run away in Glove Slap, Baby doesn't cost time and counts as an adventure:
Gadgeteer: Bedivere the Not-so-brave
Psion: Undersecretary of Nottingham
While this opponent is still active defeating the pitch-black knight again will yield a reminder message:
He kicks at you feebly as you clean up after the fight. "Oh, had enough, eh? Think you can ride up on your horse and pick on the little guy rather than face Lance at the lists? Very nice, very nice indeed."
He keeps complaining but your squire's dutiful clip-clopping soon drowns him out.
