  • Strike-back damage is applied whenever you are hit by a foe.
  • Each damage type has a specific message associated to it.
physicial: Your opponent is damaged by your fierce defenses, and takes X damage.
sonic: Part of your opponent's blow comes into contact with your sonic defenses, causing your equipment to reverberate with a resounding CLONGGGGG! It causes X damage to your opponent.
ice: Your opponent's attack triggers a blast of frost that sprays them for X damage.
acid: Your opponent becomes slightly dissolved (ew) by your acidic defenses, and takes X damage.
fire: With a WHOOSH! your firey defenses activate in response to your opponent's attack, reflecting X damage onto your opponent.
electric: Your opponent is zapped by your electrified defenses (shocking!), and takes X damage.
psychic: In retribution for the attack your defenses trigger a psychic echo that fires back to your opponent for X damage.
  • Fire Shield has a different message. See specifics on its page.
  • Strike-back damage cannot kill an opponent. When an opponent would have been killed by strike-back damage it is canceled and you get a message right after the regular message, depending on damage type:
physicial: Your opponent appears to be in pretty bad shape. It pulls back before your defenses cause it critical damage.
sonic: Your opponent appears to be pretty shaken up by the noise.
ice: Your opponent appears rattled by the intensity of your defenses.
acid: Your opponent appears to be in pretty bad shape. It pulls back before your defenses cause it critical damage.
fire: Your opponent appears to be pretty shaken up by the noise.
electric: Your opponent appears to be in pretty bad shape. It pulls back before your defenses cause it critical damage.
psychic: Your opponent appears rattled by the intensity of your defenses.
  • Frusion Enemies take only one Strike-back damage every hit, with a special message:
Your opponent seems slightly put off by your defenses, and takes 1 damage.
